In 2021, the company increased the production of ammonium nitrate by 17% compared to 2020. For the 12 months of 2021, the output of ammonium nitrate amounted to 380,711 tons (for the 12 months of 2020 – 325,247 tons). This growth is due to the ongoing modernization of existing production facilities. The plans for 2022 are to bring the production volume to 400 thousand tons.

KazAzot Joint Stock Company also plans to increase ammonia production to 218 thousand tons. Last year, the company produced 217,071 tons of ammonia (189,832 tons in 2020).
