The President of Kazakhstan visited the ferroalloy plant of YDD CORPORATION LLP

The Head of State got acquainted with the production of high-quality ferrosilicon (FeSi75), which is used to improve the mechanical and corrosion resistance of metals in the smelting and alloying of steel and cast iron alloys.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was shown the production process and finished products used in industrial, civil construction, shipbuilding, aviation, and automotive industries. The plant's capacity is 180 thousand tons of products per year. The technology allows the production of ferrosilicon and ferromanganese. The share of the Kazakh content of the project is more than 95%.

The shareholders of the plant are E.Nigmatulin, D.Kemertelidze and J.Appaz explained that the project is aimed at meeting local and global demand for ferrosilicon in the markets of Kazakhstan, Europe, Southeast Asia, North and South America.

The company's products meet the highest global quality requirements. During the pandemic, the company managed to expand its sales geography to 15 countries and develop the export potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the moment, the plant exports products to more than 37 countries around the world. It was possible to maintain current production volumes during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic due to the fact that the company created all the necessary conditions for the transition from a shift schedule to a shift method.

The President also inspected the production management center and got acquainted with the implementation of the new project of Qaz Qarbon LLP.

— Congratulations, this is a very necessary and good case. It is a serious asset to our economy, not to mention that it is a serious contribution to the industrialization of Kazakhstan. I'm watching, as they say, on the go. Good big plans, we will monitor and help," the Head of State said.

At the end of the visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished success to the staff of the ferroalloy plant.
